Career Profile | ECG Chairman
I joined Business Post in September 2003, working the nightshift as a warehouse operative for network services. My Progression to ECG chairperson in the company began in 2004 when I was nominated to become on-site ECG rep for Runcorn. I later progressed to national ECG rep for my region, and held this position for three years. Following a successful application and interview process, conducted by senior management and directors, I was appointed ECG chairperson in September 2004. The assistance I have received throughout my time with the ECG has been focused on personnel development, enabling me to enhance my skills perform my role as chairperson with confidence. Opportunities for development and progression for Business Post employees have greatly increased with the introduction of tailored training programmes including the FLM course and a range of NVQs.
